Yeah, I know I skipped yesterday, but it's been a crazy work week and I just didn't have time. But nobody cares about my excuses so on to the next item from the box!
I tried making candy corn a few months ago and it just didn't work out properly. It looked just like it should have, but it was too hard and it didn't taste right at all. So when I saw a box of vegan candy corn that I could just BUY instead of slave over at the stove for an hour I was totally jazzed.
This version looks and feels just like mine did, but tastes exactly how I remember candy corn used to taste! I love it. The texture isn't at all like the store bought stuff, which is slightly sad making and which makes me think I need to play around with this some more next fall, but in the mean time this is pretty awesome.
